High performance for the logistics of tomorrow
In this project, da emobil is supporting its long-standing partners, kostner GROUP 1947 and ide2n Energy Systems, across national borders as a hardware supplier, assisting with commissioning, the operation of the entire system and billing.
Alpitronic’s new distributed charging system has created one of Europe’s most modern megawatt charging stations in Vahrn. Heavy-duty electric vehicles can be charged at the HYC1000 high-power hypercharger either at an MCS (Megawatt Charging System) charging point with up to 1 MW or at three CCS (Combined Charging System) charging points with up to 600 kW. MCS is regarded worldwide as the future standard for electric lorries, particularly where high charging power is crucial.
On the opening day, a Mercedes eActros – a latest-generation zero-emission lorry – was charged at the station as a demonstration vehicle. Representatives from the companies involved and local politicians were delighted with the test charge: “What we are implementing here is far more than just a technical upgrade,” emphasised Andreas Kostner, CEO of the kostner GROUP 1947. “With the megawatt charging station in Vahrn, we are demonstrating that sustainable mobility for heavy goods vehicles is no longer just a vision for the future. It is here – and it works.”
Electric lorries with large battery capacities can already recharge enough power for several hundred kilometres in just 30–40 minutes. This means the statutory 45-minute break can be put to optimal use for charging.

The new charging system complements the kostner E-CHARGE charging hub, which opened in the spring and is already regarded as a flagship project across Europe thanks to its multiple charging bays, a high-performance photovoltaic system, a Clean & Fit Box for vehicle care, and a sustainable lighting concept. The facility ranks among the top 10 “Best EV Hubs” worldwide.
“With innovative charging solutions such as this one, we are playing an active role in shaping the mobility transition and paving the way for a sustainable future,” emphasises Alois Wach, CEO of da emobil.
